The County Mayor's duties include administering the day-to-day activities of county government and serving as the county's chief financial officer and the official spokesperson for Anderson County. The County Mayor also allocates particular duties of the county to departments of her choosing and organization. She is then responsible for appointing individuals to head and staff the departments she creates, as well as supervising those appointees.  Normally the County Mayor is elected to a four-year term by majority vote of county residents.  However the previous Mayor resigned in January and Myron Iwanski was appointed as Mayor by County Commission.  Mayor Iwanski served as Mayor thru August 31, 2012.  Terry Frank was elected as Mayor  in the August 2012 General Election and was sworn in September 1, 2012.
